Well welcome back to another fist full of dirt podcast. How you doing,

Lauren? I'm good. We just came off a little road trip or last podcast. We traveled to do that one.

We did. We went to Starville, Mississippi. Yep, see my long time golf and hunting buddy and my health guru Dr David Allen that was a cool visit right there

it's a be a fist full of mud out here right now we're back not in the camel cave we're back quarantining on the farm which is good

getting a lot of projects done I just had a kind of lost on it's almost like we lost an old friend out here we had an old tree

fall on one of my favorite deer stands we called it the swing set because we made it out of an old

jungle gym swing set had swings on it and a slide and we weren't going to just take it out of the

hour when the kids got so big, the grandkids, nobody would play on it so we turned it into a deer stand and it took a direct hit so

last week I built a new one I've been posting some stuff I put a video up on Facebook day before yesterday I think it was or

whenever and I call it my deer stands with character because we've built all our deer blands out here and they're all unique

That was a nice way to put it. They have a lot of character. They're not always square and they're not always airtight, but boy they do they do have character and you can't help but start thinking about deer season. I had the coolest thing ever happened to me the other night because the routine is when

things settle down and Pammy gets away on her iPad and starts doing and she's like, do we need any trail cameras? I'm like, you couldn't ask me a cooler

question if you'd have to, anyway, because this is about the time you put out trio cameras and I didn't tell her I had five out already on some soybeans that are surrounding our farm, but anyway, that first card pool is a lot of fun and it's not just always about big

antlers and stuff it's just like see what's going on and all that and show them to the grandkids and you know that

that's fun that's uh to me the trail camera probably changed deer hunting more than anything

oh yeah and my two they don't know hunting without

trail cams like they don't know just blind faith going to the woods they know

exactly who's out here and who we've seen and where they're traveling.
