All right, welcome back to a Fist Full of Dirt podcast. The last one we talked

about, The Fields with Austin Delano and that can that can get you know when about the

stuffs, doveleno and that can get, you know, when you start talking about

fertilizer and breaking ground, there's a lot of comments come back like,

well, I don't have a tractor and I don't have a disc and I don't have this and that, but you know, the bottom line is, you don't need all that.

I mean, the first food plots I planted, I did it, you know, with just basically a four-wheeler and a few other items but you know

when I started hunting there was no such thing as a food plot nobody knew what a

food plot was never dreamed about hunting over a field you know it was for me it was the

home of Chitti National Forest and I was always looking for where three ridges

came together or what acram tree was dropping it wasn't that it wasn't a big

a deal about not hunting by a food pot because there was not any food plots

there and at some point out there in Sandy Creek Wildlife Refuge, they planted a field, and I don't know what it is now, it was

rye grass, it was called, it was at the place we called the brickyard and that was the first I'm saying

food plot I'd ever seen and we called it the brickyard food plot and it was

rigrass and you know early when that stuff just popped up there would come in there and as

it heated up and got taller and all of a sudden you wouldn't see many deer but you

know food plots just weren't they just weren't a big deal and now they're they're a

really big deal especially depending on where you live and I still hunt a lot in the
