Now that immediate reaction has settled, Jake shares what he believes happened with the Pacers in the negotiation process.
(25:58-34:38) – There have been a lot of opinions from the national media on how the Pacers handled the Myles Turner free agency, Jake highlights what Brian Windhorst, Tim MacMahon, and Tim Bontemps said on the Hoop Collective Podcast.

(42:30-1:07:59) – James Boyd from The Athletic and Fan Morning Show joins the program to discuss who he believes will be playing center for the Indiana Pacers next season. He does believe that the culture that the Pacers have built. Additionally, Jake asks him which player is most relieved that the primary focus heading into training camp is on the quarterbacks and not that player and admits that he would not be shocked if Alec Pierce walked in free agency after the season.
(1:07:59-1:16:51) – Jake comes back from break with some more trivia for Eddie, but this time it’s about states and wonders how interested he would be reading a blog about his experience visiting all the states. Additionally, he makes an addition to his mayoral campaign.
(1:16:51-1:32:24) – The second hour of today’s show wraps up with Fever radio play-by-play broadcaster John Nolan joining the show to recap last night’s WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Championship game win over the Minnesota Lynx. John notes what the Fever needs to carry with them onto the next game to improve their playoff positioning, evaluates if he’s witnessing Caitlin Clark’s teammates do not move on the floor as much because they’re catching themselves watching her compared to when she doesn’t play, and provides what he saw from Red Panda’s fall last night.
(1:32:24-1:57:45) – The final hour of the show starts with Jake and Eddie giving away a pair of tickets for a listener to go see the Dave Matthews Band in nine days at Ruoff! Jake also goes back to addressing why he doesn’t think the Indiana Pacers were being cheap when it comes to Myles Turner’s contract.
(1:57:45-2:10:20) – John McClain from Houston joins the program to kick off the Query & Company Camp Caravan! Jake asks John about how things went this offseason for the Texans, the health status of C.J. Stroud heading into training camp, highlights some of the offensive changes for the Texans, and thinks that Houston will win the AFC South again but will not get beyond the second round of the playoffs based off history of the franchise.
(2:10:20-2:18:01) – Today’s show closes out with JMV joining Jake in the studio to discuss why he doesn’t want Deandre Ayton with the Pacers and would much rather see Isaiah Jackson, James Wiseman, and Tony Bradley as the three centers for Indiana.
