Summary

(00:00-27:21) – Query & Company opens on a Monday with Jake Query, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison recapping their weekends. After that, they get into the start of the Olympic Swim Trials and how it has impacted downtown. Additionally, they touch on the Indiana Fever picking up their second win of the season over the Chicago Sky and get into the developing rivalry between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark.

(27:21-44:05) – Carmel Swim Club CEO/Head Coach Chris Plumb joins Query & Company to assess Jake’s hypothesis that Hamilton County could be the most represented county on Team USA, explains when he can tell when a swimmer has what it takes to be an Olympian, compliments the job that the Indiana Sports Corporation has done with planning the Olympic Swim Trials, and evaluates the job everyone has done with setting up pools in Lucas Oil Stadium to showcase how terrific of a city to host major sporting events Indianapolis is.

(44:05-48:57) – Hour one concludes with Jake, Jimmy, and Eddie discussing Shawshank Redemption. Jake asks for listeners to share if the movie is overrated or underrated.

(48:57-1:18:06) – IU Indianapolis Athletic Director Luke Bosso joins Query & Company to share the news that will be building an arena for their basketball and volleyball teams in 2026. He shares how the plan came about, when he expects the building to be done, where the money is coming from to build the arena, and states that his goal as the athletic director to help their students, athletes, and faculty feel like they are indeed attending/working at a division one institution. Following their conversation, Jake and Jimmy discuss the magnitude of the O.J. Simpson bronco that took place thirty years ago today.

(1:18:06-1:29:55) – Following their conversation about O.J. Simpson, they continue discussing things that took place on this day. Additionally, Jake highlights that it is National Mascot Day and listing which mascots he wants at his funeral when he dies. Finally, Jake and Jimmy receive a call from a friend of Jake’s that was at the Indiana Fever game.

(1:29:55-1:37:45) – Jake, Jimmy, and Eddie close out the second hour of the show with Jake and Jimmy debating if the Dallas Mavericks can make it a series with a win tonight in game four of the NBA Finals tonight.

(1:37:45-2:05:32) – The final hour of the show starts with Jake Query and Jimmy Cook rehashing their thoughts on the job that the city has done with hosting the Olympic Swim Trials. They also get into why Jake believes that the city will be hosting future Olympic events because of how easy it is to get around downtown and how people will show up to any sporting event no matter what it is.

(2:05:32-2:21:27) – Chairman of the Board for Indiana Golden Gloves, Keith Boggs, joins Query & Company to tell the story of Frank Martin moving to Indianapolis and competing at MGM Grand Garden Arena in the WBA Lightweight World Title, assess where boxing is right now with its fandom compared to when he and Jake were growing up, and shares how someone can get involved in boxing.

(2:21:27-2:29:08) – Today’s show ends with JCook Plays of the Day, Eddie discussing his frustrations with the Cincinnati Reds, and JMV joining the guys in studio!
