The series follows famed author Truman Capote who habknobs with a close-knit circle of New York socialites known as the Swans.

But then he embarrasses them by airing their dirty laundry in the pages of Esquire magazine and things get nasty.

Well, In Feud Capote versus the Swans, Tom Hollander plays author Truman Capote,

who found fame and success for his book's breakfast at Tiffany's and in Cold Blood. Truman spends the 1960s and early 70s gallivanting

among New York's high society. In particular he befriends a group of

narcissistic middle-aged women he affectionately refers to as his swans.

His closest confidon is Babe Paley, a former vogue editor played by Naomi Watts.
