I'm your cult leader, Spencer Henry, and this week's episode serves as a warning

to pregnant cult babes everywhere. Be careful who you trust. After our recent episode on the

Taylor Parker case, which you guys can listen to, it was called Maternal Instinct, yes,

the same name as Netflix's recent documentary. But after learning about that case, I couldn't help but think about a

case we covered on the early days of cult leader. On our eighth episode, I covered a story

that was absolutely bone-chilling. And for whatever reason, the episode no longer exists in

the cult leader ether. I don't know why. I was trying to find it so that I could

listen back to the full story. And I didn't even have it in my own personal cult leader archive.

Alas, I go digging through boxes in our attic the other day. And I find this hard drive that had

the original recording, original theme song and all, listening to it,

I was taken back to the early days and I was also reminded of just how horrific this case was.

While it's not a crime we hear about every day, cases of fetal abduction have happened since

the beginning of time. And every few years, this new case like Taylor Parker's, which is all over

the press lately, will emerge and it reminds us just how awful people can be. From the early

70s to present day, there have been 24 cases reported involving fetal abduction. And while the

details vary from case to case, obviously, there's usually a common

theme of women attacking women. And I think that's what makes these cases feel so shocking, right?

Like women by nature, they're supposed to be more nurturing than men are. They're like the warm ones.
