It's the last YouTuber news podcast of the year and we've got a corker of a guest.

Also, is it the last one of the year? I'm not sure. Either way, welcome back everybody to YouTube and use the podcast. My name is Benedict Towns, and it's wonderful to be back here with you for this very special festive episode of the YouTube News podcast. And it's really, I think, kind of the final episode of the year. I can't imagine we'll do another one before the new year dawns. But who knows. Either way, this is going to be a wrap-up episode for 2021, and what a magical year it's

been a year we all really enjoyed. But you know me, much like jolly old St. Nick, I won't

leave you empty-handed when it comes to Christmas treats. So as I mentioned, we have an interview on

today's episode. It's Mr. Tom Rosenthal, who you may know from his delightful and very popular

music, or from his incredible TikTok omnipresence. The man basically owns TikTok. If you don't know him,

you'll know one of, I don't know, 20 songs he has that are just constantly going viral on TikTok.

I would sing an imitation of one of the songs right now, but I don't think you deserve that in

your life, me trying to sing. But either way, Tom had a little chat with me a couple of days ago.

He was such a nice bloke. We had such a nice chat, talking about everything from TikTok to his new Christmas song

to all kinds of nonsense in between. A very pleasant guest to round out the year. But before that,

why don't we do, and this is a radical idea, and some people are going to call me crazy for this,

but aren't all the greatest geniuses just a little crazy? But why

don't we kick off the show with a little bit of, well, YouTube news? And like I said, the body of

this episode is going to be that chat with Tom. So I've got some little quickfire stories, some

snip snaps for you to start off the show, starting with, actually speaking of guests, a former

guest of this show, KSI, who had a bit of a funny, if not a little bit sad tale this week.

So he made a TikTok recounting this whole experience, and he started off by saying that on the 15th of December, not but a few days ago, he tweeted out, quote, I will never get COVID.

And then in this TikTok, which was dated the 16th of December, and the mathematicians and the calendar experts among you will know that that's actually one day later.

He showed off not one, not five, but two positive lateral flow tests.

And added, you know me, I'm always testing fate.

So it seems that KSI, much like seemingly every person in London, seems to have caught COVID.
