Hey everyone, this is Lisa.

If you're wondering where Karin is, I promise I haven't hidden her in a closet somewhere.

She hasn't fallen into a snowbank. I swear Karin is here. You will hear her at the end of the

episode. She is going to be anchoring our second half. There are a few reasons for this. First is

we are both out of pocket this week. I am on vacation. Karn is visiting some family,

and we had planned ahead to try to record an episode for you so that you would barely notice

that we were gone. This was our great hope. Of course it failed because of some issues with

some technology that we were experiencing. And rather than struggle, struggle, struggle and potentially

not have an episode to give to you, we decided to call it as best we could and do two

separate recordings and stick them together and be able to share them with you as something

close to an episode. I apologize, but thanks for sticking with us. You know,

it is not easy to manage technology at any stage in the game, let alone when you're a podcaster.

And I have a little something to perhaps make it up to you in some small way. A few weeks ago,

we talked about Karin cleaning out her storage unit and the things she found

there and the things she parted with. One of them was a book that she sent to me. It is called

Your heiress diary. Confess it all to me by Paris Hilton, best-selling author of Confessions

of an heiress. This is a hilarious book and a beloved book of

Karin's, which is why she sent it to me to get it out of her storage unit and to get it into

someone's hands who could use a laugh on a regular basis. That's me. So tonight, I present to you
