Bills losing to the Falcons, you get the commanders losing to the Bears. A great night of betting. I know Nick was killing. The prop king was getting after it with some of his yardage props. Femmy's Island, we did not go to the island last night. Although Luke McCaffrey did score a touchdown. It was wide open. So if you bet some of those anytime TDs, you least got that home for you. But it was not the first TD scored in the game. That was rather unfortunate with the Bears commanders game. And then it was like never, I mean, Tyler Alger, like, I mean, all right, whatever right whatever you know i guess he wants to go score the

first he was like 12 to 1 last night but i did not hit it as uh we are cooling off after the

supernova four in a row that we hit a couple of weeks ago in the island games but hey no still a lot

of island out there and we will get back on the horse coming up Thursday night between the

Steelers and the bangles but let's talkisman Trophy while we got some time here in this segment because I think the Heisman is really, really interesting is we're now heading into the second half of the college football season. And that's important to remember. There's still so much college football left this year. And because right now we can feel like, oh,

like this guy has it locked up or this guy is the front runner or what's going. Like there's so

much football to be played. And if you kind of like study the voters and how that they've been

operating over the last like forever many years, decades pretty much, recency bias is a massive deal. So the second half of the season means a little bit more than the first half does. Is that fair? Is that right? Who are we to judge? That's just how it goes. And I think the second half is really going to hold a lot of weight in terms of who ultimately wins the Heisman trophy. And I actually want to start with the Athletic Heisman straw poll before I get into the betting market.

Because it's always interesting to get a nice little glimpse about how voters or voter adjacent type people are thinking about the award.

So every Tuesday morning, the athletic puts out a new straw poll.

This is the third edition of the Heisman straw poll that they've done. Last week, it was Dante Moore who was winning the straw poll.

Fernando Mendoza, the Indiana quarterback, was second. Dante Moore did not get a single vote this week.

D'Aze Moore went from number one to not getting a single first, second, or third place vote on the athletic Heisenstrawpole.

That's how bad he was in the loss to Indiana.

Who is winning the vote, though, is the guy who was second last week.

And it makes a lot of sense.

Indiana's Fernando Mendoza, 18 first place votes.

This is out of 26 first place votes.
