As rescuers continue to search for the more than 160 missing in the catastrophic Texas floods,

there's growing scrutiny of the Federal Emergency Management Agency's role.

Yesterday, CNN reported FEMA's response to the devastating floods was slowed down because

of cost controls.

That's according to four officials inside the agency, who cited a new rule which requires

Homeland Security Secretary, Christy Noem, to personally sign off any contract over $100,000.

They say that FEMA couldn't pre-position urban search and rescue teams for more than 72 hours

after that flooding started, whereas in the past, FEMA would have quickly positioned those

special teams near the disaster zone, so they were ready for urgent requests.

Noam gave a response to the report on Fox News today.

Nobody there has said anything about that they didn't get everything that they wanted immediately

or that they needed.

At a press conference in Rome today, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that all signals

point towards the U.S. resuming its aid to Ukraine.

We have a positive dialogue with President Trump regarding the Patriot systems.

Zelensky here is referring to the expensive Patriot Air Defense systems, among others,

which yesterday President Donald Trump said he was considering sending to Ukraine.

Meanwhile, U.S. State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said today that they, quote,

strongly condemn Russia's continued attacks on Ukraine.

At the beginning of the ceasefire, we will enter negotiations for a permanent end of the war, meaning a permanent ceasefire."

That's Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, in a video statement.
