Hey, so what this draft is telling me, because typically they're going to take those first two picks in the first round and they're going to trade away for 73 fifth round picks and |
| 0:55.3 | jockstrap but they didn't this year. They took the first two rounds and actually drafted them. And I have to slightly disagree with Maz was saying before. He said that these were picks for sort of the future in the transition. You don't draft in the first round, especially if you're Belichick for the future. You draft that for the now. So the tackle is obvious. We lost shoulder. But then you get this running back. I see this running back as protection for Brady because for the first time since 2006, we've drafted a running back in the first round. For the first time since 2006, the defense may just take half a second and go, huh, maybe it's not going to be a pass. Because up until this point, it's pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass. Now, for the first time, the defense might actually think run for the first time and since Corey Dillon there. I mean, maybe, Biggits. I mean, I think if you're relying on the run, you suck. |
| 2:17.7 | I mean, that's just, I'm sorry. If you rely on the running game and you come out and say, we're going to run the ball, you suck. With a few exceptions, but for the most part, those are the sucky teams. That's one. But even if I'm going to agree with you and say yes, they're going to run the ball and that's going to help them and blah, blah, blah, you don't need to draft a guy in the first round to find that. It's been proven a billion times over. Those running backs come everywhere, especially that position, maybe more than any other. That guy comes anywhere, and you don't need to devote capital on it in the first round. You just don't. I would have rather seen them do nothing and trade that pick into the future as well and go into next year with two firsts. And then you can go anywhere you want on the board from one to 32. And if there's one quarterback that you feel is just can't miss, then you can go do that, and I would have been fine with that versus the running back. I mean, to me, I would have loved to have seen him trade there two first, move up, you know, for a second, a first and a second, move up, get a lineback and get something else in the second round. This whole thing about protecting your quarterback. I mean, does it really exist? So when he says protect the quarterback, though, how about, I mean, I'll give you one more. I think it does have. Make the job a little simpler. So let me... I mean, I think... It just happened in New Orleans last year. Drew Breeze is a Hall of Fame, all-time quarterback. He doesn't need any help. You know who might need help? I'll give you Dak Prescott and Zeke Elliott. |
| 3:07.8 | Okay? |
| 3:12.6 | I think in Dallas, it starts with Ezekiel Elliott, |
| 3:14.8 | and I think that that makes Dak Prescott better, |
