Martinez. And your thoughts on the deal, I sense you hate it. No, I don't hate it because again, it could be a two-year deal or a three-year deal.

So if it ends up being a short deal, I'm not going to hate it. But here's my question. What is he? What's J.D. Martinez? What is he? You tell me what he is because I don't think it's clear. And this is my problem with it. like I've heard people say, well, it'll lengthen the lineup. The Red Sox don't need a longer lineup.

The issue is they don't have a guy in the middle of the lineup that changes the way opposing pitchers and opposing teams pitch to them. Is J.D. Martinez that guy? I don't know. We'll find out.
