Brady Watch Day 4.

At least, this is going to be part of the story.

It's going to be part of the arc of this story and the cycle of this story.

And Choness, he wrote this other day, he's absolutely right.

There's going to be leaked, you know, leaked sort of angles coming from Belichick's camp, from Brady's camp, from Kraft's camp.

There's going to be comments from Kraft about we love him, we want them, we treat him like family and hopes he comes back.

There's going to be social media posts from Tom Brady that you can read into or where he drops hints or he just flat out comes out and says it.

And this is just going to be a cycle here over the next 70 days, I think.

And so we had one today where Tom Brady released a lengthy Instagram post. I won't read you the whole thing. I read that at 2. If you want to hear the whole thing, having me read the whole thing, listen to the podcast, 985 the Sports Hub.com or that deal, the app, 95 the Sports Hub app. But he wanted to thank the fans. And after a few days of reflection, he said, I'm so grateful and humbled by the unconditional support you have shown me the past two decades. Running out of that tunnel every week is a feeling that's hard to explain. I wish every season ended in a win, but that's not the nature of sports or life. Nobody wants to lose, but the reward for working hard is just that the work, et cetera, et cetera.

Goes on, he quotes Teddy Roosevelt in there as well, and then he gets to the end, and he says,

in both life and football, failure is inevitable.

You don't always win.

You can, however, learn from that failure, pick yourself up with great enthusiasm, and place yourself in the arena again. And that's right where you will find me, because I know I still have more to prove.

So boom, that last line gives it to you. You'll see me on the field next year. I still have more

to prove. To me, this was him doubling down on what he said

on Saturday night when he said, you know, pretty unlikely, I'll retire, hopefully unlikely. Then he comes out three days later and he says, no, I'll be back in the arena. That's where you're going to find me. That's where you'll find me. And then to me, that is definitively, his attempt at least in being definitive and saying I'm back.
