So let me just reset where we began the day because, let's face it,

look, it's a slow time of year. Okay, it's a slow time of year in sports. We don't have many of these in the city of Boston because we have been blessed, particularly over the last, I don't

know, 20 years or thereabouts, that we don't often have

droughts like this.

And when I say droughts, even then, the Red Sox have the best record in baseball.

But they are methodically marching their way through an American League schedule that is

frankly embarrassing, but nonetheless, that's not their fault.

But the competition in the American League sucks.

So the Red Sox are carving their way right through there with a bunch of difficulty.
