Maz, what are you hearing and sensing on the Chris Sale news the last couple days in terms of his side session?

So I mentioned this last night on the baseball reporters because Murray said this yesterday in some of his headlines.

And as the day went on it occurred

to me last night that yesterday's sale was supposed to throw a side day and in fact I was reading

again this morning and Sean McAdam of a Boston sports journal obviously Greg Bedard's site wrote that

the original plan was for sale to throw quote unquote, unquote, an aggressive bullpen on Monday. And during Murray's headlines yesterday, he said, Sail threw at Fenway Park, and this is according to a tweet by Evandrelic of NBC Sports, that sale, quote, unquote, threw on Flackground. And I heard Flackround, and my antenna went on. And again, this is this is just me okay so i want to make this part

no no no i fought the same thing flack round so i don't have you know there wasn't anybody who whispered in

my ear or anything of the like but i heard flak round and i said well that's unusual you know especially

for a guy who who's not going to have pitched in eight days or whatever the hell of the 10 days

going into the playoffs

flat ground is just a game of catch out the yard that's it you're just out there having

him you know throwing the ball back and forth no no it's a it's a rehab it's a rehab workout

I mean typically when a guy comes off an injury in camp he will throw on flat ground and they will extend the distance as he gets a little bit stronger and stronger.

And they resist putting him on a mound.

And the fact that sale wasn't on a mound yesterday, I find that curious.
