I think that still more concessions need to come from the owner's side.

We've seen the players unified.

I still think that you need to

see more aggressive offer from the owners, perhaps up to 70 games. The realities of the calendar

greenie are upon us. According to the owner's proposal, they would start the second spring

training at the end of June. They would start the season on July 19th and then play through

September 27th.

They have to get started, have to get this resolved soon.

That was from this morning talking about the talks between MLB and the MLB Players

Union or the Players Association. And there are further developments on this this afternoon.

The Players Association has made a proposal back to the owners asking for a 70-game schedule.

And this goes back and forth. and the only reason we're spending additional

time on it because I know many of you were tired of this and I don't blame you but I will

tell you that when I heard that Manfred and Tony Clark met in Arizona face to face over the

last couple of days I started to think that they were getting serious and that baseball is now inching towards an agreement that we'll get them back on the field.

And so the latest proposal from the players to the owners calls for 70 games instead of 60, which is what the owners most recently offered up.

I mean, it feels like there's a very easy solution there in the middle to just settle
