Summary

Perspective is something I have had to learn about the last many years of my life. In the workaday world, busyness can take over and often I have the illusion that I can control my life. The Corona Virus has taken all of us by surprise and has shaken up our expectations of life. Finances are at stake for many of us, illness, disappointment, confusion. But, I have learned that my God is stable, secure, and loving and He is always in control—even when we do not understand or feel secure.

Hi everyone, welcome to Add Home with Sally. I'm Sally Clarkson and I have the biggest

0:13.0

privilege in the world to be with so many friends from all over the world who join me every

0:18.6

week to listen to my stories, inspiration, biblical encouragement, and I am just so glad

0:24.6

that you're here today. Thanks so much for joining me.

Hello my friends, it's Sally Clarkson and I hope you're having a good night. It's

0:42.7

Thursday night and it's snowed a whole bunch outside today and so I know that

0:59.8

many of your notes this week but I've also been thinking about you and I

1:04.8

thought as long as you're inside and you have a little bit of extra time I

1:10.1

might do a podcast tonight for you that I hope will encourage you as I look

1:15.8

back on my own life in the past few years. I realize that I've lived through

1:21.4

so many different things that I had to learn from that I was not in control of

1:29.1

life. That there's so many times in the work of a world we're so busy and we

1:35.7

are so overwhelmed with tasks and with our own agenda that on occasion we who are

1:42.6

committed to the Lord Jesus and to our God can without meaning to draw away from

1:49.6

him and want to tell him what our will is. But if we can stand back and look at

1:55.7

just the bigger picture, the picture from eternity from a whole different

2:02.5

perspective then that is what gives us the ability to have peace because we

2:08.2

see that our God is our transcendent God. He is in control. So I just wanted to

2:14.4

read the blog post that I wrote for today and also thought you might want to

2:21.6

share it with your friends if some of them are also where many of us are
