Summary

Have you been trying to tap into your creativity or skills, and finding ways to make income with it, even if that’s just in your spare time?  Thought about freelancing or using your talents to make supplemental income on the side… only to let your nerves, or all that you don’t know, get the best of you? It’s one thing to have a little dream, idea, or even straight up need for extra income… it’s another thing to actually take that first step into going for it! It’s scary to put yourself out there and start doing something new, especially something that feels uncertain or risky...especially in a very volatile time like this! We often hear it talked about like, “go big, or go home,” but Jordan just started small, from home, technically. And she found that doesn’t have to be nearly as overwhelming as it seems. Tune into this episode to learn: Baby Steps to Getting Started on Your Big Ideas  4 Tips To Help You Kick Nerves to the Curb and Take Action … So that you can take baby steps of faith with wisdom, grace, and the heaps of courage that it really does take.   Psst. Question for you. I'm recording this podcast episode like I would start a phone call with

0:06.4

a friend, so just roll with it. Anyways, I'm curious, have you ever dreamed about doing

0:11.2

something that you really love or that you're really good at and making a little extra

0:14.5

income from it, even if that's just in your spare time? Have you ever thought about starting

0:18.3

a side hustle to make supplemental income to, you know, pay your grocery bills or pay

0:22.7

off your student loans a little bit or cover some extra expenses that have come up? But,

0:27.3

you know, thought about that only to let your nerves or all that you don't know about

0:31.3

doing that kind of thing. Get the best of you. Yeah. I hear you. It's one thing to have

0:37.3

a little idea or a skill or a dream or even straight up a need for supplemental income.

0:43.1

It's another thing to actually take that step and go for it. Right? So, I know it can

0:48.2

be scary to put yourself out there to start something new, especially if that feels uncertain

0:52.1

or risky. And I actually recently had a listener ask about this. She's like, how do I get over

0:56.9

the nerves of taking that leap or taking that small step into starting something in my own?

1:02.3

I've had this idea or this vision. How do I do that? And so, I want to break this down

1:06.4

for you because I think we often hear it talked about like go big or go home. But in my

1:10.4

journey, I just started small and technically I just started from home. I actually, my

1:15.1

friend Jess Ekstrom posted a quote graphic not too long ago on Instagram and it said

1:18.8

something along the lines of like go big and it had that crossed out and then it had

1:22.7

go home and it had or go home and it had that crossed out. And then she put something

1:25.8

like start small from home and I was like, yes, that's literally my entire thing. So,

1:30.3

I want to break this down for you because I have found in my own journey and through

1:34.2

talking with many others that it truly doesn't have to be nearly as overwhelming as it seems.
