Hello and welcome back to practicing human, the podcast where every day we're getting a little

0:05.1

better at life. I'm your host, Cory Muscara, and in today's episode we're going to talk about

0:11.6

the beauty we love. More to come on that in a moment. First, let's settle in together with this

0:17.6

hand of the Bells. Okay, so this episode will be based on a roomy poem that I like titled,

0:42.8

Let the Beauty We Love Be What We Do. Today, like every other day, we wake up empty and frightened.

0:53.3

Don't open the door to the study and begin reading. Take down a musical instrument. Let the beauty

1:01.2

we love be what we do. There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground. I'll read this

1:11.6

one again and just let yourself receive it and see how it lands in your system and permeates

1:19.7

throughout your being in whatever way it's designed to at this point in your life. Today,

1:27.6

like every other day, we wake up empty and frightened. Don't open the door to the study and begin

1:36.0

reading. Take down a musical instrument. Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are hundreds of

1:45.2

ways to kneel and kiss the ground. So, I'll mostly let this one be up for your interpretation and

1:57.1

integration. The one line, two lines that I'll comment on. Don't open the door to the study and

2:07.1

begin reading. This one I interpret as don't immediately go into distraction. These days,

2:18.4

we have more of a noble relationship to reading. Back then, there weren't phones and other forms

2:24.4

of distraction, but reading can still be a distraction. Still be a way we can get caught in our

2:29.6

heads potentially. So, think here the invitation is don't immediately just go into distraction.

2:39.3

Take down a musical instrument. Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are hundreds of

2:45.3

ways to kneel and kiss the ground. I like that last line. Hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the

2:53.1

ground. Maybe what that's pointing to is that there are infinite number of ways that we can connect to

2:58.6

what is most sacred, but I'll let that one be up for for your interpretation. Thank you for your

3:06.6

practice. Hope this helps anchor you into your day-to-day. If you'd like more support and guidance,
