So a few weeks ago, we talked about creating a morning self-care routine

listen. And this week I wanted to follow up to that and talk about a nighttime

routine. So I don't think nighttime routines get enough love a lot of people are starting to understand how important a solid morning routine is to help them get their day started on the right track

But for a lot of us we have really busy stressful schedules and it's really hard to still get in the rest and self-care that we sometimes need.

And it can also be really easy to neglect the importance of sticking to an effective nighttime routine to really allow us to get proper rest because honestly the night can just kind of get away from us.

But if you remember when you were a kid, bedtime was kind of a process. There was a

gradual progression from when it was time to be awake to when it was time to go to

sleep. So I know for me when I was a kid, you know, my mom would give me a bath, we would do my

hair for the next day, I would probably read a story, and then it would be bedtime. So it was kind of a process that started signaling it

was time to go to sleep. Well somewhere along the journey to becoming an adult

this process totally gets lost so most of us spend our waking hours working, getting through

our to-do's, scrolling social media, and then watching TV and kind of

of vegging out at night until it's time for our head to hit the pillow. So we're in

consumption mode all day long.
