But often times, the language we use to speak to ourselves is far more harsh, and less compassionate than what we would ever say to anyone else.

We’re going to dive into why positive self-talk is so important, how to decode and understand the negative self-talk we frequently engage in and how to engage in positive self-talk (without feeling cheesy).

very very easy to feel like we want to protect ourselves by constantly planning for or dwelling on the worst or by

I first want to take a step back and talk about what self-talk is.

So self-talk isn't necessarily that you're walking around, you know, verbally speaking out

aloud to yourself, but when I'm referring to self-talk, really what I'm talking about

are our thoughts, are the reinforcements that we give ourselves.

The inner dialogue that we have with ourselves as we are making decisions or going about our daily life.

is what I am referring to when it comes to self-talk.

it can be very, very easy to fall into patterns of self-talk that are very toxic, and that can feel very, very negative.
