Summary

Welcome to Media Club Plus: a podcast about diving into the media that interests us and the stories that excite us. This season we're watching a selection of M Night Shyamalan movies.

This episode we watched Glass, and next time we'll be back with Old.

A fairly boring movie about nothing, M Night wastes what potential there is in his "super"powered characters by keeping them separate and alone for the whole movie, going to therapy instead of doing anything. And they don't even do a lot of therapy!

Featuring Keith Carberry (@KeithJCarberry), Sylvi Bullet (@SYLVIBULLET), Ali Acampora (@Ali-online), and Arthur Martinez-Tebbel (@amtebbel)

Produced by Keith Carberry

Music by Jack de Quidt (available at notquitereal.bandcamp.com)

Cover Art by by Annie Johnston-Glick (@dancynrewanniejg.com

That was pretty...

0:45.9

There's a little bit of Heath Ledger's Joker in there, but I think it was overall really good.

0:50.4

That's fine.

0:51.5

That literally made me winded to do.

0:54.8

That was actually a tremendous effort.

0:57.1

Yeah, dude, I'm also out of breath now.

1:00.1

Holy shit.

1:02.8

Holy I said we're all starting this lightheaded.

1:06.2

No, perfect, perfect, honestly.

1:09.8

Thank you.

1:10.4

If I end up cutting that, thank you, Allie, for suggesting that I do that. That was a lot of fun. I'm sorry to put you in the spot like this. Now you have to leave this in, please do. Yeah. But can you try to do the intro in the beast voice? Oh, my God. I think this is the last shot we're gonna get it.

1:29.3

Oh my God.

1:30.3

Allie, thank you so much for asking.

1:32.3

I mean, if nothing, it underscores how we really should have just been doing whippets while watching.

1:38.3

Oh, my God.

1:41.3

I've never done with it. I don't know why I'm pretending here.

1:45.9

In the last episode, Art talked about, you know, how hard James McAvoy was working.

1:52.9

And I was like, yeah, yeah, whatever, acting, whatever.
