We begin tonight with breaking news.

Moments ago, a federal judge, at least temporarily,

reversed what had appeared to be a major victory

for President Biden on immigration at the Supreme Court,

putting a pause on the remain in Mexico policy,

which had been enacted by the former president.

The policy sent certain non-Mexican citizens

who entered the U.S. back to Mexico for processing.

The Supreme Court had given Biden the green light

to end the program, but it had also sent the case back

to lower courts for additional proceedings.

Of note, at the end of November,

the U.S. immigration court system

surpassed two million pending cases for the first time.
