A federal judge says the Trump administration must fully pay food stamp benefits during the government shutdown.

A federal judge in Rhode Island set a Friday deadline for the Trump administration to fully make SNAP benefit payments for this month.

The Agriculture Department said it would only be able to provide partial funding by diffing into a contingency fund. Judge John McConnell

Jr.'s has that decision failed to consider the practical consequences or harms the individuals

who rely on those benefits. More than 40 million Americans receive SNAP benefits in the form of

debit cards to pay for groceries.

President Trump blames Democrats for the funding lapse, arguing SNAP benefits will be paid

when the government is reopened.

paycheck. On Fox is the story with Martha McCallum. Airlines will phase in the cuts at the direction

of the FAA with 4% starting tomorrow and 10% by next week. Meanwhile, the Senate no closer to passing

a measure that would end the shutdown, which is now in day 37. Earlier this week, it was thought that the Senate might craft a spending deal and coaxed Democratic senators to vote yes, but Democrats appear emboldened after Tuesday's election results.
