We are leading off Punchpool News a.m. with a look at how it is a new era for the Federal Reserve, and not everybody is excited about it.

The world's most important central bank is set to cut interest rates today, probably about 25 basis points, but that is not where all of the energy is, Jake.

That's where everybody expects to happen, but there is a lot happening behind the scenes,

as well as watchers just trying to see what exactly is going to happen with all of the

personnel issues.

The most unusual thing is that, and we're taking a break from putting shutdown top

The most interesting thing is that Stephen Myron is now holding one of the most,

two of the most important jobs in economics.

He's the C important jobs in economics.

He's the C.E.A. Council of Economic Affairs chair.
