How's your week going so far, Denise?

It's okay. As we're recording this, we're right on the tail end of that beautiful polar vortex that so much of the country has been experiencing. So it's been interesting.

I know we had four inches of snow, which turned into ice. And I think my city has one snowplow, Denise.

Oh, my goodness. Somebody posted a video of the snowplow, Denise. Oh, my goodness.

And somebody posted a video of the snowplow going through the city,

and the plow wasn't actually all the way down.

It wasn't doing anything.

Oh, goodness.

I think we better jump into the questions.

I think so, too. Okay. Our first one, as I'm going

through a very dark night of the soul and trying to understand everything, I keep coming across

a couple of phrases, one of them being radical acceptance. And I think I have that one nailed down.

But where I'm stuck is on the notion

of surrendering. Can you all talk about what this is, how it looks and feels, and how to do it?

In a society where it's understood to try harder, to never give up, to fight for all the

things we want in life, how do I surrender? What am I surrendering to? And what's the difference between

surrendering, giving up, and despair? Hopelessness. I know what the definition is, but spiritually,
