| 0:00.0 | Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, go Hess, Bo Hess, and now the end is near. |
| 0:08.2 | Bo. |
| 0:08.7 | Felger and Mass, 985, the Sports Hub. |
| 0:11.7 | What does all this stuff, and specifically McDaniel's doing what he did yesterday? |
| 0:14.9 | What does that mean for the tenure of Bill Belichick? |
| 0:18.2 | And I think it means Bill's gone sooner than later. It's coming to an end is what it means. |
| 0:22.9 | And it's coming to an end sooner than it would have. It's coming to an end sooner than it should |
| 0:28.2 | have. He should have had another five years here, really, to coach the next quarterback in |
| 0:34.5 | Jimmy Garoppolo or fully draft and develop the next quarterback in Jimmy Garoppolo. I i mean not jimmy grapple but the next guy then you know since they forced him to trade gharoplo and he goes and drafts this guy and sees that next thing through and he said he didn't want to be marvleavy he was 70 okay bill's going to be 66 so that gives them three four five years of wriggle room before he becomes Marve Levy. And I think that you could have seen it through with him. But I think that yesterday tells me it's not going to, he's not going to make that. I got him with a year left. I think this is his walk year. And I think if things have gone differently this year, you would have gotten him for three or four more years. And so at the end of the day, not a good story. |
| 1:28.5 | This is not a happy ending. I don't think you, my guess is that you will not have maximized the amount of time that Bill Belichick is coaching you. Now, some of you out there might say good, because he blew the Super Bowl with the Malcolm Butler thing, and I would agree with you. and he blew the Garoppolo trade and I would agree with you. |
| 1:30.3 | So maybe Bill's had a bad year. |
| 1:28.4 | Maybe he's let ego get in the way of the Super Bowl with the Malcolm Butler thing, and I would agree with you. And he blew the Garoppolo trade, and I would agree with you. |
| 1:46.4 | So maybe Bill's had a bad year. Maybe he's let ego get in the way of some calls or spite get in the way of some decisions. And he's just, he's, he just had a bad year in terms of letting emotion get in the way of sound football decisions. I would agree with you on that. he's still the best that ever was and still the best in the league by a mile, by a mile. And so I would want him here as long as he wants to be here. And I think now he's not. I think now he's not. I think now he's gone sooner than later. And at the end of the day, that's not good. That's bad news. Oh, go ahead, Marri. I also don't think that it's over in terms of this season and this off season. |
| 2:03.9 | I mean, if he's really that mad, there's other things that could pop up between now and the beginning of the year. I wouldn't be shocked if he ended up walking. If we get the same thing tonight that we got last night except it's announcing Bill's gone, but that's totally surprise you? No. No, not at all. No. Nope. I mean, and I'm not predicting that. I think Bill's back for at least one more, but probably just one more. |
| 2:20.3 | That's what I would better. that's totally surprise you? No. No. No. No. I mean, and I'm not predicting that. I think Bill's back for at least one more, but probably just one more. |
| 2:20.3 | That's what I would bet on that he's back. |
| 2:23.2 | And I think he's going to be. |
| 2:25.1 | But, you know, before yesterday, it was a 2% chance that he walks. |
| 2:29.9 | Now it's maybe... |
| 2:31.8 | 15? |
| 2:32.4 | A 10? I was going to say 10. |
| 3:32.7 | Yeah, I was going to say ten. Yeah, I was going to say ten. Which is still a lot. One in ten. I just think for him, like again, when you look at everything he's accomplished, this is his 11th Super Bowl for crying out loud. I know three of them were as a coordinator, but nonetheless, he's been to 11 of them. The lure for him was to do it with Garoppolo. That was the next great challenge. It's the only hole he has in his resume. And so once that gets taken away, I think all bets are off. Now I've got to start over. I've got to start that whole process over. So I think he'd be more inclined to say, well, screw it. You took away my guy and you cut my balls off in the process. Now what? So, you know, if it doesn't go the way I want it to, I'm out of here. So I think in a nutshell, the events of this year have accelerated Belichick's departure. And the crafts are protecting themselves against that with bending over backwards at the last minute to save Josh McDaniels and have some sort of succession plan and not to be left here with no options if Bill's sudden about it or even sudden-ish, which would be a year. |
