I just think for him, like again, when you look at everything he's accomplished, this is his 11th Super Bowl for crying out loud. I know three of them were as a coordinator, but nonetheless, he's been to 11 of them. The lure for him was to do it with Garoppolo. That was the next great challenge. It's the only hole he has in his resume. And so once that gets taken away, I think all bets are off. Now I've got to start over. I've got to start that whole process over. So I think he'd be more inclined to say, well, screw it. You took away my guy and you cut my balls off in the process. Now what? So, you know, if it doesn't go the way I want it to, I'm out of here. So I think in a nutshell, the events of this year have accelerated Belichick's departure. And the crafts are protecting themselves against that with bending over backwards at the last minute to save Josh McDaniels and have some sort of succession plan and not to be left here with no options if Bill's sudden about it or even sudden-ish, which would be a year.
