Hi friends I am Annie F Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four books of the New Testament in the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These are the stories of Jesus Christ's life on earth, the friendships, the

sacrifices, the meals, and the miracles. Just a reminder, January, February and

March of this year we are reading one chapter a day for all of 2023. We read three chapters a day and got through all four of them in one month.

We've slowed down a little bit this year. So so far in January and February we have read John and Mark and we have finished those two books we are

starting Matthew today because this is the beginning of the Gospels this is actually

the first one listed today's a great day for you to share about this episode to

today, Matthew one. You can listen or read along in your own Bible and then I'll

mention the verse or idea that stood out to me and

then I'll pray and that is it. So today is February 7th and I'll be reading Matthew 1 from the new international

version. Matthew 1. This is the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah, the son of David, the son of

Abraham. Abraham was the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob, Jacob the father of Judah and his

brothers, Judah the father of Perez and Zara whose mother was Tamar. Perez the father

of Hezran, Hezran the father of Ram, Ram the father of Hesron, Hesron the father of Ram,

Ram the father of Aminadab,

Aminadab the father of Nayshaun.

Nayshaun, the father of Salmon,

Salmon the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab, Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth,

Obed the father of Jesse, and Jesse, the father of King David.
