0:16.0	Hi friends, I'm Annie F Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four books of the New Testament and the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These are the stories of Jesus Christ life on earth, the friendships, the parables, the sacrifices, the meals, the miracles. So here's how this works. I will read one chapter to you today. You can listen or read along in your own Bible,
0:21.0	and then I'll mention the verse or idea that stood out to me and then I'll pray and that's it.
0:25.0	So today it's February 28th and I'll be reading Matthew 22 from the new international version.
0:33.0	Matthew 22.
0:36.0	Jesus spoke to them again in parable saying,
0:38.0	The Kingdom of Heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son.
0:42.0	He sent his servants to those who have been
0:44.0	invited to the banquet to tell them to come but they refused to come. Then he
0:48.4	sent some more servants and said, tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner.
0:53.6	My oxen and fat and cattle have been butchered and everything is ready.
0:57.1	Come to the wedding banquet.
0:58.4	But they paid no attention and went off, one to his field, another to his business. The rest seized his servants mistreated them and killed them.
1:05.8	The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
1:11.0	Then he said to his servants, the wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come.
1:15.8	So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.
1:20.3	So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find the bad as well as the good and the wedding hall was filled with guests
1:28.4	But when the king came in to see the guests he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes.
1:33.8	He asked, how did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?
1:37.2	The man was speechless.
1:39.1	Then the king told the attendance, tie him hand and foot and throw him outside into the darkness where there will be
1:44.6	weeping and gnashing of teeth for many are invited but fewer chosen.
1:49.8	Then the Pharisees went out and laid plans to trap him in his words.
