Now let's go back to Cabot, Pennsylvania on February 22, 1985. It was a Friday. Cherry, like most of her classmates, was

excited for the weekend. The man's hadn't lived in Cabot long, but Cherry had great friends. She was

sleeping over at one of their houses that night. Cherry put on her cabbage patch earmuffs to

fight the cold. They were a gift from her grandmother who knew how much she loved dolls. A care bear

she'd gotten for Christmas was chewed up by the family dog, so her mother, Janice, planned to use her

day off to find a replacement. She dropped Cherry off at the bus stop and
