These are the stories of Jesus Christ's life on earth. The friendships, the parables, the sacrifices, the meals, the miracles. Each month we get to read all four books. So go ahead, subscribe today. together. Now, normally, y'all know we read three chapters a day to get through the whole

four books in 30 days. But this month is a little different. We are mixing it up and reading the

gospels chronologically from the new international version or the NIV. So we read stories in the order

in which they took place, usually getting something from all four books. So I'll share the

references with you here at the beginning and you can find them in the show notes as well. You can

listen or read along in your own Bible and then I'll pray and that's it. Luke 18, 9 through 14,

Mark 10, 1 through 12, Matthew 19, 1 through 12, Mark 10, 13 through 16, Matthew 19, 13 through 15, Luke 18, 15 through 17, Mark 10, 17 to 31, Matthew 19, 16 to 30, Luke 18, 18 to 30. Matthew 20, 1 through 16. Mark 10, 32 to 34.

Story of the Pharisee and tax collector from Luke.

To some who were confident of their own righteousness and look down on everyone else,

Jesus told this parable.

Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax

collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed, God, I thank you that I'm not like other

people, robbers, evildoers, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week

and give a tenth of all I get. But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven,

but beat his breast and said, God have mercy on me, a sinner. I tell you that this man, rather than

the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled,

and those who humble themselves will be exalted. Discussion about divorce and marriage for Mark.

Jesus then left that place and went into the region of Judea and across the Jordan.

Again, crowds of people came to him, and as was his custom, he taught them.

Some Pharisees came and tested him by asking, is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?
