fun to talk about favorite places to drink around the world as you make up for lost drinking time,

i do and actually this is my absolute obsession is finding the very best bar and that can be a dive bar

it could be a rooftop it could be very cutting edge

cocktails i don't discriminate i just love a drink on holiday as so many people do um i absolutely

love new york as you mentioned so i've got a high and a low option for you there um my absolute

favorite posh drink in new york is the bemelman's Bar in the Carlisle Hotel on the Upper East Side.

It's been there forever.

There is a pianist tinkling the Ivories.

They bring you a really good-sized cocktail with one of those little shakers with more in it in case you want to top yourself up.

Oh, serious.

Suited and booted stuff.

Yeah, it's really fabulous. I presume you've had to either get a mortgage out or sell a kidney. Well, exactly. It's not the cheapest joint in town, that's true. But absolutely maximum atmosphere. So I think worth a spend for me. And what are you drinking there just so I'm... I like a Manhattan in Manhattan. Yeah, that's my tipple.

Where's the low then?

The low dive bar choice is a bar I only discovered last summer which is called Trailer Park Lounge.

It is just pure concentrated Americana.

So there's Elvis posters, there's half a camper van in there,

there's plastic palm trees, you know, it's very teaky bar, very junkyard, amazing teaky cocktails.
