0:00.0	Hi friends, I'm Annie F. Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four books
0:06.4	in the New Testament in the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These are the stories of Jesus Christ's
0:10.8	life on earth, the friendships, the parables, the sacrifices, the meals, the miracles. We'll read
0:16.2	about three chapters a day and finish in 30 days. So each month we're going to read all four
0:20.2	books. February, obviously, is a little bit different. We've finished Matthew, Mark, we are working
0:24.6	on Luke and we will do John a couple of days. We'll have extra chapters just so we can get through
0:29.4	all four books in 28 days. Go ahead and subscribe if you haven't yet. Join us as we read the
0:34.2	Gospels together. And I hope you'll be with us all month, but something we say around here a lot
0:38.3	is you don't have to read the Gospels every day to be changed, but every day you read the Gospels

0:57.4	your own Bible and then I'll pray and that's it. So today is February 16th, day 16. I'll be reading
1:03.4	Luke chapters four through six and the translation I'm reading from this month is the ESV.
1:10.9	Luke four and Jesus full of the Holy Spirit returned from the Jordan and was led by the spirit and
1:16.8	the wilderness for 40 days being tempted by the devil and he ate nothing during those days and
1:22.4	when they were ended, he was hungry. The devil said to him, if you are the son of God, command this
1:28.2	stone to become bread and Jesus answered him. It is written, man should not live by bread alone.
1:33.6	And the devil took him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time and
1:39.0	said to him, to you, I will give all this authority and their glory for it has been delivered to me
1:44.8	and I give it to whom I will. If you then will worship me, it will all be yours and Jesus answered
1:51.7	him. It is written, you shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.
