Hi, friends. I'm Annie F. Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four books of the New Testament in the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

These are the stories of Jesus Christ's life on earth, the friendships, the parables, the sacrifices, the meals, the miracles.

We will read three chapters a day and finish in 30 days every other month of the year.

So each month we're going to read all four books, but the February only has 28 days.

So it'll be a little bit different this month. We'll read an extra chapter a couple of times this month.

So go ahead and subscribe today and join us as we read the Gospels together.

I hope you'll be with us all month, but something we say around here a lot is you don't have to read the Gospels every day to be changed, but every day you read the Gospels will change you.

So I'm super glad you're here with us this month. We've been reading from the English standard version.

We are working our way through the book of Mark only a couple more chapters today and tomorrow we finish Matthew next will be Luke and then John.

Let me share with you how today is going to go. I'll read three chapters to you.

You can listen or read along in your own Bible and then I'll pray and that's it.

So today is February 13th day 13 and I'll be reading Mark chapters 10 through 12 and the translation I'm reading from this month is the ESV.

Mark 10 and he left there and went to the region of Judea and beyond the Jordan and crowds gathered to him again and again as was his custom.

He taught them and Pharisees came up and in order to test him asked is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife.

He answered them what did Moses command you? They said Moses allowed a man to write a certificate of divorce and to send her away.

And Jesus said to them because of your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment.

But from the beginning of creation God made them male and female.

Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife and the two shall become one flesh.

So they are no longer two but one flesh.

What therefore God has joined together let not man separate and in the house the disciples asked him again about this matter.

And he said to them whoever divorces his wife and Mary's another commits adultery against her.
