Hi friends, I am Annie F Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four books of the New Testament in the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These are the stories of Jesus Christ life on Earth, the friendships, the parables, the sacrifices, the meals, the miracles.

So here is how this works.

I'm going to read one chapter to you today.

You can listen or read along in your own Bible, and then I'll mention a verse or an idea that stood

out to me and then I'll pray and that's it.

slash Gospels. So today is February 1st we're continuing in the book of Mark. I'll be reading Mark 11 from the new international version.

Mark 11. As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of

Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples saying to them, Go to the village ahead of

you and just as you enter it you will find a cult tied there, which no one has ever ridden,

untie it and bring it here.

If anyone asks you, why are you doing this, say, the Lord needs it and will send it back here

shortly.

They went and found a cult outside in the street tied at a doorway.

As they untied it, some people standing there asked, what are you doing?

untying that cult. They answered as Jesus had told them to and the people let them go.

When they brought the cult to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it.

Many people spread their cloaks on the road,

while others spread branches they had cut in the fields.

Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted,

Hosanna.

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
