Summary

Hey friends! Welcome to Girls’ Night! At the moment we’re in between seasons here on the show. But while we’re waiting for our next official season to begin, we thought this would be a great time to pull some of our favorite episodes out of the Girls Night archive. This is the perfect time to catch up on episodes you might have missed, or listen again to old favorites. I’m so excited about today’s episode. Today we have my real life friend, Jordan Lee Dooley back on the show to teach us how it’s possible to really like our lives (even when we’re not exactly where we want to be). Jordan has a new book called, Embrace Your Almost: Find Clarity and Contentment in the In-Betweens, Not-Quites, and Unknowns. I love this because so many of us have found ourselves here. So many of us are experiencing heartbreak, disappointment, lost dreams, and never-ending delays. We’re in seasons of waiting — waiting for a relationship, a promotion, a baby, or a big move. We’re in a place where our life just isn’t working out the way we thought it would, the way we really, really want it to. And that’s HARD. It’s even harder to know what to do when we’re in this place. Do we try harder? Do we keep pushing? Do we give up and walk away? How do we know? And as we’re waiting, what do we do in the meantime? Jordan’s going to walk us through all of this and more. I can’t wait for you to hear from her. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

A better calling in life and how to live every bit of our lives to the full.

Life is so much better and easier and absolutely more fun when we navigate together as girlfriends

But while we're waiting for our next official season to begin, we thought that this would be a great

time to pull some of our favorite episodes out of the Girls Night Archive. This is a great time to

catch up on episodes you might have missed throughout the years or to listen to old favorites all over again.

Our guests are incredible. I know that I learned something new each time I listened to an episode,

0:54.3

even if it's one I've heard a million times before. Okay, now without any further ado, let's dive into the

1:00.6

episode. Before we dive into the episode, there's something super fun I wanted to share with you.

Now there is nothing I love more than a Girls Trip. Friendship plus travel, is there anything better?

1:15.5

Nothing leaves me feeling more inspired, more rested, or more like my very best self than an

1:20.2

adventure with my best girls. It's truly my favorite form of self-care. I was meeting up with my

1:25.6

three best friends at a lake in Minnesota this last summer when we decided that we needed matching

1:30.2

Girls Trip shirts. Wanted? No, needed? Absolutely. The problem was we couldn't find anything we liked.

1:37.6

We couldn't find anything that was our style, first of all, and then many of the shirts we did find

1:42.0

had phrases we just really didn't resonate with. We ended up buying some shirts that none of us

1:46.4

were particularly excited about, but they worked for a photo or two. And it was while I was on that

1:51.2

trip, wearing that t-shirt that I had an idea. They say that if you can't find the thing you're looking

1:56.8

for, maybe you should make it. And so that's what I did. Over the next several months, I designed
