Welcome to our daily rosary meditation. Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

We are in a very profound and sorrowful but also glorious place. We are in Auschwitz where St. Maximilian Colby gave his life for another man.

In early 1941,

St. Maximilian Colby printed the last edition of his magazine,

The Night of Mary.

And there he wrote,

No one in the world can change truth.

What we can do and should do is seek truth and to serve it when we found it.

The real conflict is the inner conflict.

Beyond armies of occupation and the extermination camps, there are two irreconcilable enemies in the depths

of every soul, good and evil, sin and love. And what use are the victories on the battlefield

if we ourselves are defeated in our innermost personal selves.

And about 11 a.m. on February 17, 1941, the Nazis came to Neapokalana, the city of Mary,

and they came to arrest Colby, and he greeted them.
