| 0:51.9 | There are many reasons for that. |
| 0:53.9 | First, the adult Christmases can never live up to our |
| 0:57.6 | childhood memories. That can be even worse if we have unpleasant childhood memories about Christmas. |
| 1:04.9 | Second, for those of us who live alone or feel lonely, Christmas might be an even more difficult time. Third, some of us might be |
| 1:14.2 | wiped out after all the shopping and traveling. Finally, for believers, we might feel disappointed |
| 1:20.7 | that all the big plans we had to recommit ourselves to prayer at Advent have come to naught. |
| 1:28.2 | So some Christmas letdown is natural. |
| 1:32.1 | But in the midst of this disappointment, |
| 1:34.8 | it's important to remember that Christmas is not about gifts |
| 1:37.9 | or what your tree looked like or didn't look like, |
| 1:41.0 | or about shopping, or even about friends and family. |
| 1:45.0 | It's not even about how much praying you got in. |
| 1:49.0 | It's about something more radical. |
| 1:52.0 | The fact that God loved us so much that God became one of us. |
