| 0:58.0 | They want a king. |

| 1:02.0 | we want a king to rule over us and fight our battles |
| 1:07.0 | like the other nations have. |
| 1:10.0 | Not surprisingly, Samuel is hurt by this request. He's been |
| 1:16.3 | their prophet. He's been actually a really good leader, and he feels rejected by this request |
| 1:23.9 | for not only a new leader, but a new kind of leader, a king, because the people want to be just like the other nations. |
| 1:33.3 | But God sets Samuel straight. God says to him, don't feel bad, Samuel. It's not you they're rejecting by this request for a king. The one they're really rejecting |
| 1:47.7 | is me. But why is that? Why would asking for a particular political system equate to a rejection of God? |
| 2:03.8 | Our father, who are equate to a rejection of God. Our Father who art in heaven, hallow it be your name. |
| 2:07.0 | Thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. |
| 2:10.3 | Give us to stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, |
| 2:14.4 | as we forgive those who trespass against us |
