You know, I always like to introduce myself in some way, but for the purposes of today's

episode, let's just say I identify as a 1989 with a red rising and a reputation moon.

I often rotate around those three as my core albums. Am I going to reveal my official ranking

now? No, because I have started to second-guess myself as I've looked across the nine albums

that comprise her discography and have felt utterly ill-equipped to even feel like it's

fair to compare them because it's so highly subjective with your sentimental attachment,

the recency bias. I don't know. It's like in my heart, 1989, well, forever, let Era as

a fan was so fun because we got so much press, so many interviews. The concert was other

worldly. It was the cream of the crop top. But you guys know, I mean, I'm a repopologist,

always have been always will be. I can't wait till she re-re records that. It's almost

a funny thing where I always wanted to go back and, you know, I started this podcast in

2018. So the only albums that have happened after that are obviously lover, folklore,

evermore. I've always wondered, like, should I go back and treat these albums as if they're

new releases and dive into them? And I've kind of touched myself out of it in an effort not

to be redundant. But I kind of had a change of heart upon even attempting to do a proper album

ranking because I realized there's a genus a quad about every era. Every era feels like a coming

of age, you know, turn in the tides. I feel like since perhaps since I'm like two years older than

her, I felt like we were going through similar things at the same time. And these albums, the

looks associated with them, the gradual sophistication of the lyrics they are comprised of. They just

transport me back in time to the person I was, the person I hoped I'd be, the person I better

understood through these lyrics. And I was feeling not as inspired by fearless because I honestly,
