Welcome to the paranormal podcast. I am Jim Harold and so glad to be with you today. And one of my favorite things is to talk with good people and fellow podcasters who have a unique idea. You know,

there's so many things out there in the podcasting world that are so much

the same. But it's great to talk, again, with good people who have a great idea and they're

knocking it out of the park. And these two gentlemen fit both categories. I'm talking about

Brennan's store, of course, from the Ghost Story Guys and Brendan Schneck-Snader and from Southern Gothic.

And they have joined forces to create what is really blown up the charts.

It is called Fear Daily, and it is exactly what it says, but I'll let these gentlemen tell us exactly what it is.

So what is Fear Daily, and how did you guys come up with it?

Well, Fear Daily is a daily horror fiction show, two stories every day, Monday to Friday,

and the hook is that they are horror stories set in the 1990s and before.

Most of them are actually, if not all of them within the continental U.S.

So the idea is that there has been this computer, a bulletin board server.

And if any of your audience is old enough to remember those, they'll know what we're talking about.

And if they're not, they were online message boards that predated what we now call the internet.

And the idea is that this server has been online quietly humming away in the background in somewhere in the Pennsylvania Rust Belt, and now all the stories that people submitted to this loan server are now available for folks to listen to.

So again, you've got stories of cryptids, monsters, serial killers, other worlds, life after death, all told from a first, all first all told pardon me from a first person perspective

and uh related to uh to our audience and i think it's such a great idea brandon i mean you come from a

big storyteller tradition with southern gothic uh what are your thoughts on this format i mean
