incredible good afternoon how's everybody feeling at passion city church incredible so glad you're here

um as it's already mentioned we're into this series called goliath must fall and we're looking at the

giants of our lives anybody got a giant in your life something that somehow it kind of got a foothold in the story.

It's definitely not a part of God's purposes and not a part of God's plan for your life,

but nevertheless, it just sort of took up its place.

Maybe it was accommodated for a while.

It felt comfortable, and now it's just a part of the landscape of your life.

We all know what we're talking about in this series,

and the big story of this series is this, that the giants of our lives are not bigger than

Jesus. Jesus is greater than whatever we are facing. And I'm telling you, he wants to bring

freedom to your life, and he wants to bring freedom to my life and he wants to bring freedom to my life.

Last week we set this series up if you missed that. Can I please ask you to go and check that

message out? That's not me needing you to go and listen to one of my talks. That's just saying

that the setup for this message is imperative to our fully understanding how God wants us to face

the particular giants that we face.

And starting today, we're going to talk about some specific giants.

We're going to talk about five giants over the next few weeks.

And I have a feeling that just with those five giants, we're going to hit really close to home.

Because I don't think there's 500 giants out there, honestly. I think we're all wrestling

generally with the same stuff. But I need you to go back and pick up that message. We'll talk

about some of the framework today, but today we're specifically facing the giant called fear.

Fear is a big deal in the story of God.
