Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talker Radio.

It is the hangover after the day before.

As parts of Britain wake up, having spent the day enjoying hospitality, staying out of the rain

and visiting their local pub for the first time since last year.

But there's a little cloud on the horizon, ladies and gentlemen.

And it is called the collection of doomsayers who want the lockdown restrictions reimposed

just because of a new variant to coronavirus that so far is causing minimal problems in a couple of small communities in England.

Apparently there's going to be some kind of crunch cabinet meeting today for the government to work out what to do next.

Well, I'll tell you what to do next. Do what you said you were going to do, which is to open up the economy fully on June the 21st. No more masks, no more social distancing, no more nonsense,

let's get it on. For heaven's sake. If that just about sums up your mood, I'm delighted

to report that I saw even fewer people wearing masks than normal this morning on the streets of London

and more people actually out and about. I'm convinced

that the fog of fear for the majority of people in this country is lifting. But at the same time,

the Professor Class and the media manipulators continue to cling to their life rafts, hoping

to steer the great ship of Britannia onto the rocks. One of the great mysteries of the age is why

so many people in government seem to want to keep us in a state of fear and why so many people are falling for it.
