He's just published a new book.

But it's not the first time I've talked to him. I talked to him back in 2024 about his book. The New Deal's Way War on the Bill of Rights. So you can go back and check that out. He is a professor emeritus. I'm going to read his bio. Currently, he's a research

fellow at the Independent Institute and Professor Emeritus of History at the University of Alabama.

He received his PhD in history at the University of Wisconsin, and he is the recipient of the

Ellis Hawley Prize. He's also the author of Taxpayers in Revolt, Tax Resistance During the Great Depression,

from Mutual Aid to the Welfare State,

also Fraternal Societies and Social Services, 1890 and 1967,

and then with TRM Howard, Dr. Orden, and TRM Howard, excuse me, Dr. Entrepreneur and Civil Rights Pioneer.

He's also the former president of the Alabama Scholars Association and Chair of the Alabama State Advisory Committee of the United States Commission on Civil Rights.

He's the founder of the Liberty and Power Blog at the History News

Network. And he's published in many academic journals. His articles have appeared in Wall Street

Journal, Los Angeles Times, Washington Times, Atlanta Journal, Constitution, Perspectives, History
