In 2019, the FDA called for basically the public to give patient feedback for medical devices,

all medical devices, not just specific ones, all of them.

And what they received was an earfuller as this next headline shows maybe a mouthful.

So they go on to quote over 90% of the public comments sent to FDA in response to its request

for public comments on patient preferences and medical devices addresses FDA's failed policy

on dental amalgam.

The dental amalgam is basically a mixture of metals used for dental work, but about 50%

of it is elemental mercury.

So let's fast forward to 2020 now.

This is now reaching the headlines of mainstream media.

This is CNN, CNN's reporting that the FDA warns popular dental filling could cause health

problems for some patients in the story.

They say the advocates have been calling for an alternative for this mercury filling since

the 70s, which actually is not true.
