The way that the media, by and large, has reported this story, has been an absolute disgrace,

and it puts our law enforcement officers at risk every single day.

That was Vice President J.D. Vance, blaming the victim and the media following Wednesday's

deadly shooting by an ICE agent in Minneapolis. It comes as the FBI is taking over that

investigation, freezing out local law enforcement. The question is, can federal investigators

be trusted, given the administration's overwhelming

support of this ICE agent?

Meanwhile, President Trump is now threatening land strikes on cartels in Mexico after a month's

long campaign on vessels in the Caribbean.

The question is, how is Mexico's president now responding?

We are going to start with the news that we led with yesterday, too, because the FBI is now solely in charge of the investigation of Wednesday's deadly shooting of a woman by an ICE agent in Minneapolis. It comes despite federal officials initially agreeing to partner with the state's Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, a unit that was created after the killing of George Floyd. It reviews use of force cases just like this one.

The FBI has cut off the state's access to evidence, though, seen materials and interviews.
