In an interview published in today's New York Times, Donald Trump talked about this week's

attack on Venezuela. He was asked, what checks does the government have on your foreign policy?

What does the legislative branch? What does the Supreme Court? What kind of

checks do they have on your decisions to invade sovereign nations? Trump said, yeah, there is one thing,

my own morality, my own mind. It's the one thing that can stop me, unquote. The only thing

that can stop Trump is his own morality, which means

there's nothing to stop him. Trump said, I don't need to obey international law. He said, I don't

need international law. Adding the post-World War II world order places unnecessary burdens on America,

which he called the world's only superpower.

During the interview with the New York Times, Trump took a call from Gustavo Petro, the president

of Colombia, who Trump has warned, is going to be next right after Maduro or maybe after Cuba or maybe

in between Cuba and Greenland he hasn't decided yet. Trump told the New York Times that he's still

considering invoking the Insurrection Act and that a president only has to obey the Supreme Court in certain

instances. Border Patrol agents in Portland, Oregon shot two suspected gang members Thursday night.

This was during a traffic stop. One of them, one of the alleged gang members was shot in the

chest, but the Associated Press now saying it's unable to

corroborate whether they were in fact gang members. The Department of Homeland Security said

the border agents opened fire. You know the drill after the suspects tried to kill the border

agents with their vehicle.

As of early Friday morning, both are reportedly still alive.
