FBI agents arrested a sitting Milwaukee County judge on Friday on charges of obstructing immigration enforcement.

The U.S. Marshal's spokesman confirmed the arrest of Judge Hannah Dugan.

Dugan is accused of directing federal agents away from an illegal immigrant wanted by authorities.

FBI director Cash Patel announced the arrest on social media but later deleted the post.

The incident marks a sharp escalation in the Trump administration's crackdown on so-called sanctuary jurisdictions.

A charging document has not yet appeared in court records. President Trump is considering offering mothers a baby bonus.
