Welcome to Balance Black Girl. My name is Les. I'm your host and I appreciate you tapping in.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I had a really hard time deciding what this episode was going to be.

And I asked you all for suggestions.

I actually got a lot of really great suggestions.

However, I was just not in a position to fully execute any of them.

But there was a variation of idea that was given that I was like, okay, I can do that. A lot of people

were asking me to do a recap of like my favorite media from 24. So like favorite books,

favorite movies, favorite TV shows. And I was like, I don't know about that. I don't watch TV.

I also don't watch movies. I love my books, but I didn't read as many books as I wanted to in

24. Also, my memory is horrible. And the second I finish a book, most details about it leave my brain.

However, I thought about mother who inspired me to get into media, and that is Miss Oprah Winfrey and how every year she used to do

her favorite things episode and how being the daytime talk show junkie that I was as a child

and teenager loved watching her favorite things episode. And I was like, okay, favorite things across all categories I can do.

And I can touch on a few books that I did like this year. But I can also talk about my favorite

wellness things. I could talk about my favorite beauty things. I can talk about my favorite fun

things. And I just thought that that could be a cute, fun, light way to wrap up the year.

Because as I mentioned in my investing in ourselves episode earlier this fall, I spent a lot of

money this year investing in myself and trying new things and really stepping up my routines.

And I figured it's time for me to share the love and to share some of what I loved in

24.
