Welcome, everyone to the score fantasy football podcast.

I'm your host, Justin Boone, middle of the preseason, lots of preseason and practice notes to keep up with lots of injury news too. And some teams are a lot better at giving out those injury updates than others. I mean, I've been trying to figure out the severity of this Derrington Evans injury for a few days now. Some injury analysts out there calling it a meniscus. Others thought it might be a hamstring. Maybe he was grabbing at that. Some said his quad. The team gave like the really general designation. They just said knee and we haven't really heard too much else. I was joking with Matthew Betts. He's the injury analyst over at the fantasy footballers. We had him on the show before and I messaged him when this happened and I was asking him what he thought. And we were laughing talking about, you know, we're just kind of crazy when it comes to this stuff, right? We're out here. We're looking at Darrington Evans' personal Twitter page. We're looking at his Instagram account. We're trying to see, you know, is he sharing any videos of him walking around? Is he limping? because it's the preseason. We're not going to get a ton of information on this stuff.

We won't get true injury updates often until week one. So that's where we kind of stand now with preseason action and with Darrington Evans. And I know he's not the most high profile name, but he's been one of my big upside backup RB targets, a guy who,

if Derek Henry finally succumbs to, you know, the over 700 touches the last two seasons,

if Henry finally gets hurt, we could see Evans really blow up and he looked good in that game

before he left. So I have a lot of exposure to him. I want to know if I need to pivot and get a little bit of Jeremy McNichols or Brian Hill or if we are going to see Evans back in a week or two. And I'll say when I did ask around, none of the injury analysts know for sure. I mean, they don't get to diagnose him hands on. They're just looking at a video. But the general consensus seemed to be that this would be on the minor side.

So hopefully we're going to see him back in a week or two here.

It's just so important this time of year especially. So that's enough of my Darrington Evans rant. I don't know why I went off on that to begin the show, but that's definitely something that's

been the top of my mind trying to figure that out. But on today's show, I'm going to go over my favorite players to pick in each round. And we're going to do the first 10 rounds. Next week, we're going to have Sigmund Blumen Blumon to go over our favorite late round picks. So we'll top it off with that. Sig is the best.
